Calling in sick is simple. Proving it often is not. A lot of jobs ask for a doctor’s note once an absence crosses a day or two, and the nearest clinic may not have a same-day opening.
Read the policy before you start
Look at the employee handbook or the last email from HR. Note how many days trigger a request, which email or portal receives documents, and whether they want the note the day you return.
That saves a second visit later because the date range was wrong.
What a work note needs to do
HR is checking three things: that the note is about you, that it covers the days you missed, and that a licensed provider signed it. A long medical explanation is not what most policies ask for.
During the GetMyDoctorNote visit you share the reason for the absence and the dates. A licensed provider reviews it and, when a note is appropriate, signs one you can download.
Sending it in
Use the channel your company already uses for pay stubs and tax forms. Attach the PDF, include the dates in the email subject if that is how your team files things, and keep a copy for yourself.
If the note comes back with a question about the dates, compare it with what you entered. Support can help if the file and the request do not match.
